The deformation component having a frustoconical outer surface that is in contact with the frusto-conical inner surface of the outer support component. The outward extending flange (104-1) of the inner support member rests against an end of the deformation member. USE - Holding device for holding object on support structure of vehicle. ADVANTAGE - The holding device is simple, efficient, cost-effective, and easy-to-assemble holding device for effectively and safely holding an object such as but not limited to a battery module on a support structure of a vehicle, to enable the mounting of different stiffness structures or vibrating structures reliably and efficiently, to reduce the number of components involved in a holding device while effectively and safely holding the object on the support structure having different stiffness, and also effectively and safely hold a battery module on a body-in-white (BiW) of a vehicle, without any additional changes to the BiW.
