| 成果简介 | NOVELTY - Synthesizing metal nanoparticles using a plant extract involves: (a) providing a first solution comprising a metal salt; (2) providing a second solution comprising the plant extract; (3) combining the first solution and the second solution to obtain a mixture; and (4) exposing the mixture to sunlight for a time period in the range of 20 minutes to 1 hour to obtain a colloidal solution containing metal nanoparticles, wherein the plant extract is obtained from flower of Madhuca indica. USE - Method for synthesizing metal nanoparticles used in composition, which comprises metal nanoparticles, and plant extract obtained from flower of Madhuca indica. ADVANTAGE - The method is carried out using ethanolic extract (ME) of Madhuca indica flower (CFME), which possess anti-cancerous activity. The silver nanoparticles are used in combination with existing drugs, to enhance its efficiency as well as reduce the side effects associated with long term usage of chemical drugs. The nanoparticles also exhibit anti-cancer effect irrespective of the breast cancer subtype and also there are no off-target effect thus proving to be most effective in treating breast cancers irrespective of their molecular subtype. The metal nanoparticles has an average size in the range of from 15 to 29 nm, and shapes selected from spherical, spheroidal, elongated-spherical, rod and faceted shaped. |
