成果简介NOVELTY - Preparing bempedoic acid of formula (I) comprises hydrolyzing diethyl 2,2',14,14'-tetramethyl-8-oxopentadecanedioate of formula (II) with an esterase in presence of suitable base to obtain 2,2',14,14'-tetramethyl-8-oxopentadecanedioic acid of formula (III), and reducing in the presence of keto reductase to obtain the product. USE - Method for preparing bempedoic acid. ADVANTAGE - The method is eco-friendly and efficient, provides bempedoic acid compound having high purity and yield, and uses enzymatic or chemo-enzymatic reactions which effectively reduces the overall cost for synthesis of the bempedoic acid. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparing bempedoic acid of formula (I) comprises hydrolyzing diethyl 2,2',14,14'-tetramethyl-8-oxopentadecanedioate of formula (II) with an esterase in presence of suitable base to obtain 2, 2',14,14'-tetramethyl-8-oxopentadecanedioic acid of formula (III), and reducing in the presence of keto reductase to obtain the product, where R is carboxylic acid protecting group.
