成果简介NOVELTY - Preparing hexagonal boron nitride nanosheets by plasma spraying involves feeding bulk hexagonal boron nitride (hBN) powder into a high temperature plasma plume along with a mixture of argon gas and hydrogen gas and exfoliating the bulk hBN powder into ultra-thin hexagonal boron nitride nanosheets, where the particle size of hexagonal boron nitride (hBN) powder is in the range 0.9-1.1 micrometer (µm). USE - Method for preparing hexagonal boron nitride nanosheets by plasma spraying. ADVANTAGE - The method has one-step scalable, industry-friendly, cost-effective method, which relates to the nanosheet prepared of showing drastic reduction in coefficient of friction and having a greater potential in the area of tribology and lubrication. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for an ultra-thin hexagonal boron nitride nanosheet as obtained from the method.
