| 成果简介 | NOVELTY - Schiff base derivative composition comprises: 0.05-0.20 g Schiff base derivatives synthesized from 0.460 g pyrene-1-carboxaldehyde and a diamine compound selected from ethylene diamine, 1,6-hexadiamine, m-phenylene diamine, and p-phenylene diamine; carrier comprising 0.1-0.15 g silica gel, 0.50-1 g calcium sulfate, and 0.15-0.25 g talcum powder. USE - Schiff base derivative composition used for fingerprint development (claimed), on dry, porous and nonporous surfaces, e.g., aluminum foil, bakelite sheet, glass slide, front side of compact-disc and white paper sheet; and also used for both at the scene of crime or in the laboratory. ADVANTAGE - The composition enables to develop clear, sharp and good quality fingerprints on the surfaces; and is simple and cost-effective. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a method for preparing a Schiff base derivative composition for fingerprint development, which involves: (a) reacting pyrene-1-carboxaldehyde with a diamine selected from ethylene diamine, 1,6- hexadiamine, m-phenylene diamine, and p-phenylene diamine in a molar ratio of 2:1; (b) dissolving 0.460 g pyrene-1-carboxaldehyde in a solvent selected from ethanol or toluene and stirred for 5 minutes; (c) adding dropwise a solution of the diamine, either 0.065 g ethylene diamine, 0.116 g 1,6-hexadiamine, 0.108 g m-phenylene diamine, or 0.108 g p-phenylene diamine, in the same solvent to the pyrene-1-carboxaldehyde solution; (d) stirring the reaction mixture at 60℃ for 6 hours, for ethylene diamine or 1,6-hexadiamine; conducting the reaction in a Dean-Stark apparatus at 100℃ for 12 hours, for m-phenylene diamine or p-phenylene diamine; (e) monitoring the progress of the reaction using thin layer chromatography (TLC); (f) upon completion, cooling the reaction mixture (for reactions involving ethanol) or filtering (for reactions involving toluene) to obtain a precipitate; (g) filtering the precipitate, washing with cold ethanol, and drying in a hot air oven at 60℃ to yield ligands L2, L3, L4, and L5; (h) mixing 0.2 g ligands with 0.15 g silica gel, 0.5 g calcium sulfate and 0.15 g talcum powder in 10 ml chloroform; (i) stirring for 30 minutes and drying at room temperature (37℃) for 5 days; and (j) grinding the dried mass with mortar and pestle to obtain a fine powder. |
