成果简介NOVELTY - Enriching sodium iron phosphate obtained from spent lithium Iron phosphate batteries (LFP) lithium-ion batteries involves subjecting to open circuit voltage test, obtaining a cathodic layer from the obtained lithium-ion battery, cutting the cathodic layer into multiple pieces, dipping multiple pieces into an alkaline solution for decoupling to obtain lithium Iron phosphate flakes by filtration of the alkaline solution, performing delithiation by giving a pulsated microwave treatment to the obtained lithium iron phosphate powder in potassium persulfate (K2S2O8) solution, where the delithiated Lithium iron phosphate powder is ultrasonicating to obtain a dispersion, dispersing by ultrasonicating the iron phosphate (FePO4) in an aprotic solvent to obtain iron phosphate dispersion, adding sodium iodide to the dispersion and subjecting the dispersion to a microwave treatment to obtain sodium iron phosphate (NaFePO4) from the spent Li-ion batteries. USE - Method for enriching sodium iron phosphate obtained from spent lithium Iron phosphate batteries lithium-ion batteries. ADVANTAGE - The method provides an alternative cost-effective and green route for synthesis of device grade NaFePO4which is a potential cathode material for sodium (Na)-ion batteries. The method involves minimal processes steps and energy requirements and enables the recycling of LFP ultimately leading to the regeneration of device grade NaFePO4.
