| 成果简介 | NOVELTY - Formulation (Cu-HA-Au-PMNPs) comprises: a superparamagnetic iron oxide nanoparticle (SPION) comprising SPIONs stabilized with 0.002-0.012 wt.% polyethyleneimine (PEI) surface coating, and the PEI layer functionalized with Gold (Au), copper (Cu) (II)-63, and 0.045 wt.% hyaluronic acid (HA) having 25.58-27.44 wt.% iron (Fe), 49.11-52.16 wt.% Au and 0.00047-0.0047 wt.% copper (Cu). USE - Formulation used as contrast agent and theragnostic agent formulation to sensitize cancer cells for radionuclide therapy (all claimed), and for selectively delivering drugs, e.g., Cu-64, a theragnostic radionuclide to cells, for killing cells in tumors, metastasis and micrometastasis. No biological data given. ADVANTAGE - The formulation helps in enhancing non-invasive imaging. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a method of preparing the formulation, which involves: (a) preparing a SPION using a mixture of ferric chloride hexahydrate (FeCl3.6H2O) and ferric chloride tetrahydrate (FeCl2.4H2O) by co-precipitation method; (b) stabilizing the surface of SPION by adsorbing PEI on SPIONs (PMNPs); (c) coating gold particles to the surface of PMNPs, followed by coating 3 additional layers of gold to obtain Au-PMNPs; (d) functionalizing Au-PMNPs using HA by covalent conjugation of HA to PEI in Au-PMNPs (HA-Au-PMNPs); and (e) conjugating copper with HA-Au-PMNPs by Cu-II complexation with HA or PEI of the HA-Au-PMNPs to obtain the Cu-HA-AuPMNPs formulation. |
