DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for method of preparation of a formulation used in treatment of leukemia, which involves: (i) dissolving a pharmaceutical active component in an equivolume mixture of methanol and chloroform at a temperature ranging from 40 to 70℃ to obtain a clear solution; (ii) adding lipids into the clear solution and stirring the solution for a duration of 2-6 minutes to obtain an organic solution; (iii) evaporating the solvent from the organic solution of step (ii) to obtain a lipid thin film; (iv) rehydrating the obtained thin film using phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) of pH 7.4 to form a liposome; (v) subjecting the liposome to sonication at an amplitude of 30% to 45% for 4-10 minutes to obtain a liposomal suspension; and (vi) filtering the liposomal suspension obtained, followed by lyophilization using a cryoprotectant to obtain the drug-loaded formulation.
