ADVANTAGE - The Citrus Limetta peels-derived carbocatalyst replaces the toxic and expensive solvent and chemicals used in the reactions of synthesis of carbocatalyst, which is utilized in various organic transformations for providing high yield in the least time in a simple, efficient, novel, improved, cost-effective, eco-friendly method, and facile approach and for the synthesis of non-toxic and sustainable carbocatalyst derived from kitchen/domestic waste for performing organic transformations having a great significance in biomedical field, pharmacology by utilizing efficient, cost-effective, and eco-friendly method. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Citrus Limetta peels-derived carbocatalyst comprises a structure graphene oxide compound of formula (I). a method for synthesizing Citrus Limetta peels-derived carbocatalyst, which comprises: (a) washing raw Citrus Limettas peels thoroughly and sun drying for about 2 days to obtain dried peels; (b) grinding dried peels to a fine powder and dissolving powder in water, followed by stirring and placing inside a microwave reactor at temperature of 150-160℃ for few minutes in order to obtain a solution; (c) purifying obtained solution by centrifugation at 8000-12000 revolutions per minute to remove large particles, followed by precipitation using acetone in order to obtain precipitate of carbon dots; and (d) dissolving precipitate in a water-ethanol solvent, followed by stirring for a time duration in the range of 50-70 minutes and filtration in order to obtain said carbocatalyst.
