成果简介	NOVELTY - Precleaner assembly for an air intake system of a vehicle. The precleaner assembly comprises a housing (6) defined with an inlet (2) and an outlet (4) for passage of a fluid. A shaft (8) pivotably disposed along a central axis of the housing. A multiple blades (10) radially connected to the shaft and positioned proximal to the inlet. The plurality of blades being adapted to operate between a first position and a second position, and an actuating mechanism operatively coupled to the shaft, wherein the actuating mechanism is configured to pivot the shaft to operatively tilt the plurality of blades from the first position and the second position. The precleaner assembly, where multiple of blades in the first position are configured to reduce area for flow of intake air at the inlet of the housing. USE - Precleaner assembly used for air intake system of vehicle. ADVANTAGE - The assembly improve the lifespan and efficiency of the airfilter and the engine, various attempts have been made to modify the airfilter configuration. One such modification in conventional airfilter system may be by including a precleaner between the snorkel and the airfilter. The precleaner is adapted to remove heavy dust particles and water droplets from the intake air by causing a vortex flow within a housing of the precleaner. To cater such efficiency, the conventional precleaner include a plurality of blades that are rigidly connected to the housing of the precleaner, where such blades create resistance for flow of the intake air which may affect performance of the engine.
