| 成果简介 | NOVELTY - Isoreticular metal organic framework comprises single-site metal-hydride, dihydride or alkyl catalyst having varying pore sizes. The single-site metal-hydride, dihydride or -alkyl catalyst ensures a systematic cleavage of the carbon-carbon (sp3) bond via hydrogenolysis of polymers into targeted liquid products within a determined molecular weight range. USE - Isoreticular metal organic framework used for shape selective hydrogenolysis of polyethylene (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The isoreticular metal organic framework can produce a mixture of gaseous and liquid/wax hydrocarbons with 100 % conversion and less than 7% selectivity for gases, and enable highly efficient upcycling of plastic wastes under mild conditions owing to their unique combination of coordinatively unsaturated single-site Ru-active sites, uniform and tunable pores, well-defined porous structure, and superior stability. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for: 1. a process of synthesis of an isoreticular single-site metal organic framework catalyst, which involves: (a) synthesizing UiO-66 (Universitetet i Oslo 66), using 1,4-benzenedicarboxylic acid and zirconium chloride (ZrCl4) in dimethylformamide (DMF), dissolving benzenedicarboxylic acid of about 0.05 to 0.25 g in about 1.2 to 6 mL DMF;(b)dissolving ZrCl4of about 65-345mg in about 1.2 to 6 mL DMF to form a solution;(c) mixing and heating solution at about 100-130℃; (d)centrifuging the solution to obtain a white solid of UiO-66 in tetrahydrofuran (THF);(d) synthesizing UiO-66-ruthenium dichloride (RuCl2) by adding n-Butyllithium (n-BuLi) to the slurry of UiO-66to form a mixture;(e) stirring the mixture to form a solid;(f)washing the solid with THF to remove the excess n-BuLi;(g)adding a THF solution of ruthenium(III) chloride trihydrate (RuCl3.3H2O) to the washed solid to form a mixture; (h)stirring the mixture at room temperature to obtain a suspension; (i)washing the resultant black solid with THF and ethyl acetate to remove any excess ruthenium to obtain UiO-66-RuCl2; and 2. a process of shape selective hydrogenolysis of polyethylene using hydrogen (H2) in presence of metal organic framework (MOF) catalyst, which involves: charging MOF catalyst and polyethylene into a high pressure reactor, sealing and charging the reactor with hydrogen, pressurizing the reactor with H2and heating at 150 to 250℃, where the product obtained is analyzed by gas chromatography (GC). |
