成果简介NOVELTY - Fluorescent carbon quantum dot formulation comprises chenopodium album leaves extract as a carbon source, water in a concentration range of 20-25 mL, metal acetates/nitrates selected from the group consisting of cadmium acetate (CH3COO)2.2H2O), cobalt nitrate (Co(NO3)2.6H2O), chromium nitrate (Cr(NO3)3.9H2O), cupric nitrate (Cu(NO3)2.3H2O), ferric nitrate (Fe(NO3)3.9H2O), mercuric nitrate (Hg(NO3)2.H2O), nickel nitrate (Ni(NO3)2.6H2O), lead nitrate (Pb(NO3)2), zinc nitrate (Zn(NO3)2.6H2O), in a concentration range of 1-5 mM, where the concentration of each element is maintained within the specified range to achieve stable and highly fluorescent carbon quantum dots. USE - Fluorescent carbon quantum dot formulation. ADVANTAGE - The fluorescent carbon quantum dot formulation involves low-cost, green-emitting and water-soluble quantum dots. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a method for preparing a fluorescent carbon quantum dot formulation which involves collecting and washing Chenopodium album leaves thoroughly under running tap water and then with millipore water, placing the Chenopodium album leaves in a hydrothermal reactor with 25 mL of water, heating the mixture at 180℃ for 24 hours (h) in a 50 mL hydrothermal reactor, cooling the solution to room temperature naturally to obtain a dark brown solution of carbon quantum dots (CQDs), centrifuging the obtained solution at 7000 rotations per minute (rpm) for 30 minutes (min) to remove large insoluble and non-fluorescent particles, and storing the resulting CQDs in a refrigerator for further use.
