成果简介NOVELTY - Capturing carbon dioxide and utilizing in metal recovery involves capturing and absorbing carbon dioxide using an aqueous ammonia solution comprising injecting a simulated flue gas mixture at the bottom of an absorption column to reach a steady state, showering the aqueous ammonia solution at the top of the absorption column to facilitate counter-current gas-liquid contact throughout the absorption column, where the gas is the flue gas mixture and liquid is the ammonia solution. The ammonia solution from the reservoir is recycled to the top of the absorption column through a peristaltic pump. The pump circulates the ammonia solution, where the required liquid-gas ratio of the circulating liquid is maintained in the range of 2-10 liter/meter cube, analyzed the concentration of exhaust gas (carbon dioxide) in the gas outlet from the top of the column by an infrared gas analyzer, leached collected metallic waste by utilizing the captured carbon dioxide. USE - Method for capturing carbon dioxide and utilizing in metal recovery. ADVANTAGE - The method reduces regeneration cost of absorbent, compression, and transportation costs of carbon-dioxide, in environmental friendly manner. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Capturing carbon dioxide and utilizing in metal recovery involves capturing and absorbing carbon dioxide using an aqueous ammonia solution comprising injecting a simulated flue gas mixture at the bottom of an absorption column to reach a steady state, showering the aqueous ammonia solution at the top of the absorption column to facilitate counter-current gas-liquid contact throughout the absorption column, where the gas is the flue gas mixture and liquid is the ammonia solution. The ammonia solution from the reservoir is recycled to the top of the absorption column through a peristaltic pump. The pump circulates the ammonia solution, where the required liquid-gas ratio of the circulating liquid is maintained in the range of 2-10 liter/meter cube, analyzed the concentration of exhaust gas (carbon dioxide) in the gas outlet from the top of the column by an infrared gas analyzer, leached collected metallic waste by utilizing the captured carbon dioxide. The metallic waste is collected and mixed in a mixer to obtain a uniform composition, dissolved the composition of metallic waste in aqueous ammonia and carbonate/bicarbonate solution, agitated the mixture of metallic waste and aqueous ammonia and carbonate/bicarbonate solution in a reactor placed in a liquid bath by a magnetic stirrer to obtain a uniform mixture, prevented the loss of ammonia and water from the reactor by a condenser connected to the reactor to enable a closed-loop system, sampled and filtered of a leached solution by using a filter to obtain a pregnant leached liquor and a residue, recovered a metal carbonate from the pregnant leached liquor by heating the pregnant leached liquor obtained at 80-100℃, where the heating process takes place in a desorption column/recovery column, separating the heated solution into vapor and metal carbonate precipitate, washing of the metal carbonate precipitate with water, and drying the metal carbonate precipitate at 60-100℃ to obtain a product.
