成果简介NOVELTY - Preparing bacterial culture media comprises providing waste flowers or floral waste, grinding by adding distilled water into a paste; filtering the extract through muslin cloth; autoclaving the extract; preserving the extract at room temperature for 24 hours; on next day, again filtering the extract by filter paper and making different broth concentrations as 3%, 5%, 7%, 10% and 50%; for plating, taking concentrations of 5%, 10%, 15%, 20% and 25%; adding agar to the plating extract and autoclaving; adjusting pH of the media to pH 7 ± 0.2 before adding to culture plates, where flower or floral waste is selected from yellow marigold, orange marigold, tuberose, rose or mixture of those. USE - Method for preparing bacterial culture media for growing bacteria or microorganisms including Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus subtilis, Acinetobacterspp., Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Serratia marcescens, and Klebsiella pneumoniae(claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method is easy and economical, uses biodegradable waste material, and is cost-effective process for growth of micro-organism. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a composition for bacterial culture media, which comprises floral waste and/or flower waste, extract added with agar, and mainly bacterial culture media as broth.
