成果简介NOVELTY - The method involves establishing an expected return acoustic-structural response by directing a reference acoustic wave at an underwater structural part of interest that forms part of an underwater support structure. The resulting return acoustic structural response is detected. A signal is transmitted by a water proven speaker, and the transmitted signal from the speaker is received by a water proven microphone. A controller i.e. Raspberry pi (RTM: Single board computer) is used to process the received signal. USE - Method for scanning an underwater support structure for flooded structural parts i.e. submerged human bodies, in an underwater environment in navigation, object detection, and mapping applications. ADVANTAGE - The method enables enhancing post-flood response and recovery efforts by enabling accurate detection and retrieval of submerged human bodies. The method enables capitalizing on distinct frequency reflections exhibited exclusively by human bodies underwater, thus allowing for effective differentiation from other objects, and hence expediting rescue missions and bolstering the efficiency of recovery operations in challenging aquatic environments. The method enables reducing power consumption of the system while enhancing background noise characteristics achieved through the determination of a carrier frequency within a specific frequency band.
