成果简介NOVELTY - The system (100) has an internal unit (100-I) which is implanted in an outer wall of the urinary bladder. The internal unit has a sensor (102) which is embedded within the internal unit. An amplifier (104) is connected to the sensor which is configured for conditioning the signals received from the sensor. A data processing unit (106) is connected to the amplifier, and configured to process the signal from the amplifier and determine the pressure of the urinary bladder. A transmitting unit(108) is connected to the data processing unit. An alerting unit (112) is embedded in an external unit (100-E) which is configured to generate an alarm when the pressure of the urinary bladder is beyond the predefined threshold value. The system structure is configured to be continuously updated with real time data for continuous monitoring of bladder pressure to enable timely alerts when the pressure is beyond the predefined threshold value. USE - System for monitoring pressure of urinary bladder in clinical environment, home healthcare, long-term care facilities, paediatric care, post-surgical recovery, research and telemedicine. ADVANTAGE - The easy deployment and alerting mechanism is facilitated. The pressure of the urinary bladderis continuously monitored with no inconvenience to the patient. The alarm present in the alerting unit is facilitated to switch off automatically once the urinary bladder pressure goes below the predefined threshold. The back-pressure damage of the kidneys in patients who store and/or evacuate urine under high pressure is prevented. The system which is provided for monitoring pressure of urinary bladder is cost effective, simple, user-friendly and easy to use.
