| 成果简介 | NOVELTY - The assembly has a metal frame comprising an air inlet side and an air outlet side. A set of air channels is integrated within the frame, where the air channels comprise an air channel inlet opening on the air inlets side of the frame and an outlet channel opening on an outlet side of frame. The cross-section of the air channel opening is greater than the cross- section of the outlet channel. The air channels includes a transition section with varying cross-sections across length of a section. A water absorbent material i.e. hay, is located in an interstitial space between adjacent air channels. USE - Cooling pad assembly for a cooling apparatus (claimed) i.e. water cooler, for cooling air in tropical countries and developing economies during summer. Can also be used for an air conditioner. ADVANTAGE - The assembly can be used in place of evaporative cooling pad in water coolers where is no direct contact between the air to be cooled and a fluid such as water, is present. The cooling apparatus uses 3-fold less water per hour of operation. The air channel design avoids contact of air with water, thus reducing the humidity of the cooled air.
