| 成果简介 | NOVELTY - The head has multiple key components and a natural language processing system which is combined with a robot part. A voice assistant system understands and responds to voice commands. A microphone and a speech recognition software allow a system to understand and respond to voice commands from users. An open-source voice assistant software is installed in a Linux(Unix-based software operating system) operating system. A three-dimensional (3D) printer is used for fabrication. Microcontroller, motors and sensors comprise MG995 metal gear servos used for robotic neck rotation and second servo for robot speech movement. An Arduino(Open-source electronics prototyping platform) UNO microcontroller is used to control a robot using an input data collected from sensors e.g. an ultrasonic sensor for motion tracking. A sound meter module captures sound frequency of voice assistant system which is converted into speech synthesis to move a robot jaw using a servo motor with lip-syncing. USE - Smart voice assistive humanoid robot head with motion tracking in smart home devices. ADVANTAGE - The head ensures that the movements help to make the interactions to be intuitive and engaging, allows eye contact and facial expressions to communicate with the user, provides an engaging and interactive experience for users and detailed visual feedback, allows natural interaction between the user and the voice assistant, utilizes visual cues and gestures to provide feedback, improves functionality, integrates the voice assistant with a robotic head, performs a wider range of functions e.g. physically controlling smart home devices and performs complex tasks.
