| 成果简介 | NOVELTY - Obtaining and analyzing appropriate biofluids for biomarker analysis under normal and experimental conditions for lung diseases, involves: (a) utilizing cell culture model for preclinical evaluation in a simplified way for new drug efficacy analysis at an air-liquid interface cell culture; and (b) understanding the bidirectional flow of cytokines and antibacterial proteins of airway epithelial cells while airway cells are cultured in direct contact with air. USE - Method for obtaining and analyzing appropriate biofluids for biomarker analysis under normal and experimental conditions for lung diseases. ADVANTAGE - The method help in understanding the mechanism of physiological and pathophysiological conditions of airway epithelial cell secretions under various challenging conditions like hypoxia, hyperoxia, microbial induced immune and inflammatory responses. The method is carried out in a cost-effective manner using simple sampling techniques for most useful inflammatory biomarker interleukin (IL)-8, IL-6 and TNF-alpha and other biomarkers, which are provides insights into therapeutic responses and novel mechanistic targets identification in various pulmonary diseases like Coronavirus 2019 (Covid 19), severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS), human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), influenza, tuberculosis, and cancer. The method also help in evaluating the efficacy analysis of clinical agents in the area of pulmonary therapeutics, and provide commercially viable and improved efficacy testing platform for screening newer antiinflammatory drugs using air-liquid interface epithelial cell culture system. |
