| 成果简介 | NOVELTY - The economic and business cycle indicator in which international linkage between two economies is investigated by measuring the degree of synchronism of the two corresponding cyclical motions. The composite leading indicator is constructed which replicates and predicts the business cycle to measure the cyclical fluctuation. The leading indicator structure is a single index composed of economic, financial and expectation variables possessing leading properties. The real-time performance of the constructed business cycle indicator for the Netherlands is compared to the performance of a similar indicator based on the Hodrick-Prescott filter methodology. USE - Economic and business cycle indicator for use when predicting gross domestic product (GDP) of country. ADVANTAGE - The economic and business cycle indicator provides inconsistent signals since the financial crisis in 2008. The economic indicators are reliable and provide accurate information in order for different players to interpret correctly. The Elliott, Granger and Timmermann argue that knowing the possible direction of economy and events in advance improves the process for decision makers. The government policy makers, economists, businessmen, investors, employees and consumers all rely on forecasts for strategic decisions of future judgment and base on the information. |
