成果简介NOVELTY - The method involves suggesting a strong pattern of inter-regional divergence in average per capita expenditure (APCE) by National Sample Survey data. States that started off with higher APCE levels are provided with higher growth rates of APCE between 1993-94 and 1999-2000. The regional patterns are broadly consistent with independent estimates of the growth rate of state domestic product (SDP). The APCE of poorer states such as Assam and Orissa is virtually zero growth and very little reduction in rural poverty. USE - Method for performing reassessment of evidence on poverty and inequality in a poorer state e.g. Assam and Orissa and rural region. Can also be used in a government office. ADVANTAGE - The method enables effectively identifying the causal relations underlying the poverty trends in the India in the nineties in a simple and effective manner, and improving living standards of the people in the country, and improving the economic condition of the country. The method enables improving living quality of the population in the state of living in a cost-effective manner, and improving quality of life for the people of the state.
