USE - Herbicidal composition used for selectively controlling undesirable vegetation in crops; and having herbicidal action against weeds, e.g., narrow leaves weeds, broad leaves weeds, sedges and grass weeds. ADVANTAGE - The composition exhibits a synergistic action; good residual effects; and improve bio-efficacy effect. The bio-efficacy of composition was tested against weed complex in sugarcane crop. The results showed that Chlorimuron ethyl 2.0% + Mesotrione 10.0% + Tembotrione 14.0% OD exhibited a percent increase over untreated check of 45.88%. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a process for preparing a herbicidal composition as oil dispersible formulation, which involves: (a) taking the oil carrier into a high-shear mixing kettle; (b) adding ethylhexyl stearoyl polyhydroxysterate and mixing for 30 minutes; (c) adding calcium dodecylbenzene sulfonate, alcohols ethoxylated, and dodecyl benzene sulfonic acid sodium salt to the mixture; (d) stirring at 1500 rotation/minute (RPM) for an additional 30 minutes; (e) adding chlorimuron ethyl, mesotrione, and tembotrione technicals to the mixture one at a time; (f) mixing for 1 hour after adding each component; (g) once mixing is complete, transferring the material to a Dyno mill; and (h) grinding for 30 minutes to achieve the desired consistency; (i) adding an appropriate amount of the rheology modifier to finalize the formulation.
