成果简介NOVELTY - Invention relates to electrical engineering, specifically to protective coatings of titanium bipolar plates of fuel cells and a method of producing a protective coating. Reduced contact resistance of bipolar titanium plate and increased service life of fuel cell are achieved due to the fact that the coating is made of a carbon-containing material based on polymerized pyrrole and is obtained by depositing a pyrrole monomer on a cleaned surface by electrodeposition from a concentrated solution of a pyrrole monomer in sulphuric acid, with subsequent fixation of protective coating layer on titanium surface during vacuum heat treatment at temperature of 800-900 °C for 2-3 hours. Method of applying a protective coating discloses operations for preparing the surface of a titanium plate and modes of electrodeposition of a coating from a solution of sulphuric acid with dissolved pyrrole, as well as modes of subsequent vacuum heat treatment. USE - Electrical engineering.
