成果简介NOVELTY - The apparatus has a container comprising a fluid chemical inlet and a handle. A spray nozzle is coupled with a motor pump at a bottom portion of the container for releasing fluid chemical on a target subject. A camera is mounted on a head of the spray nozzle for capturing a real-time video of the target subject. A microprocessor processes the real-time video and controls release of fluid chemical. A power unit is electrically coupled to the motor pump, the camera and the microprocessor. The microprocessor deploys a deep learning model to segment image frames extracted from the real-time video for background removal in the image frames containing the target subject. USE - Deep learning and image analysis based handheld agricultural spray control apparatus for crop illness management. ADVANTAGE - The apparatus prevents unnecessary use of chemicals in crop cultivation and simultaneously improves crop growth and yield. The apparatus detects crop diseases and accordingly sprays right amount of pesticide/fertilizer at a right place i.e. infected area. The apparatus implements a cost-effective, user-friendly and reliable machine learning and compute vision technique into a spray control system to make farmer`s job easier and comfortable.
