成果简介NOVELTY - Invention relates to optical instrument making for creating an optical quantum state which approximates the optical state of a Schrödinger cat (SCS). Method of generating qudits approximating optical states of a Schrödinger cat based on Fock and coherent states, which consists in the fact that a quantum state is supplied to the input of the fundamental mode, input state in fundamental mode is mixed exclusively with Fock states in auxiliary modes on consecutive optical tunable four-terminal circuits, then shifting occurs in all modes in units implementing shift operators, optical radiation in all auxiliary modes is recorded by means of single-photon detectors and supplied to signal recording system (SRS), in those time intervals during which the SRS does not register signals from any of the single-photon detectors, the Schrödinger cat’s qudit fundamental mode output is generated. USE - Optics. ADVANTAGE - Generating an output state close to the SCS with a value of β in the range from β=2 to β=3 with high accuracy.
