成果简介	NOVELTY - The cage comprises a rat cage (1), a conical hopper (11), a dropping tray and a chamber pot container (12), a food container, and a water container (3), where the dropping tray, the hopper and the pot container are located successively from top to bottom of the rat cage. A net sheet (9) is provided to lay urine color developing test paper between the tray, another net sheet (10) and the hopper. The first and second net sheets are located in slots (7, 8). The first slot forms a drawer-type structure with the latter sheet and the second slot with the former sheet. The rat cage is welded and fixed with a hexahedron structure, where a cage bottom area is suitable with an A3 paper. USE - Improved metabolic cage for collecting urine and night soil of laboratory rats for experiments in medical medicine toxicity test and physiological research of urinary system pathology. ADVANTAGE - The cage is good in effect of separating the excrement from urine and the urine is not sprinkled outside the urine-accommodating container. The former net sheet can lay the urine color developing test paper that carries out the frequent micturition counting between dropping tray, the latter net sheet and the conical hopper. The first slot and the first and former net sheets form respectively the drawer-type structure so as to provide convenient to sampling, thus providing convenient disassembly and cleaning.
