DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a method for preparing the chip for subgingival placement, which involves (a) incorporating aqueous extract of Acalypha indicainto the chitosan solution by continuous stirring at 800 rpm for 2 hours at room temperature; (b) pouring the solution into a circular petri dish and leaving it at room temperature for 24 hours to form a film; (c) peeling off the film, and trimming the film into chips of dimensions 4×5×0.25 mm (length × breadth × width). |
