成果简介NOVELTY - Permanent magnet alternating current (PMAC) machine comprises a stator and a rotor with a polygonal-circular shape rotor iron. The rotor includes a combination of bread-loaf-shaped non-rare-earth permanent magnets and arc shaped rare-earth permanent magnets. The arc-shaped rare-earth permanent magnet has a uniform thickness across the pole arc and is positioned over the bread-loaf-shaped non-rare-earth permanent magnet. USE - Permanent magnet alternating current machine for draw leading current from the supply at rated conditions, making suitable for being fed from a load commutated inverter. ADVANTAGE - The permanent magnet alternating current has unique configuration ensuring high efficiency, power density, and reduced use of rare-earth materials, enhancing sustainability and reducing costs. The PMAC machine operates getting fed from a thyristorised LCI without any support for reactive power supply like additional windings, power electronic converters, or supplementary control strategies, simplifying the design and reducing overall complexity.
