成果简介NOVELTY - Self-watering tree guard comprises a cylindrical body formed from a mixture of 96.5% clay soil, 1 % wheat straw, 1.5 % ash, and 1 % ground waste material from a goat farm. A round base is integrated seamlessly with the cylindrical body and constructed using a potter`s wheel for uniformity. A top cover portion manually built layer by layer ensures structural integrity and water retention. A coconut coir fiber is installed at the outlet point and facilitates controlled water percolation. An inlet and outlet points are designed to maintain a percolation rate of 600-1000ml per 24 hours. A thin sieve mesh covers the inlet portion to prevent insect ingress, where a connectivity in the cylindrical body and top cover portion allowing for efficient water distribution. USE - Self-watering tree guard. ADVANTAGE - The self-watering tree guard minimizes water wastage and fosters healthy tree growth, maintains the nutrient content of the soil by supporting the healthy growth of trees, which enriches the surrounding soil and ecosystem, decreases the mortality rate of newly planted trees, and makes the ease of installation and maintenance of your self-watering tree guard accessible to a wide range of stakeholders. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a method for watering trees guard, which involves: (a) installing the guard in proximity to a tree, ensuring proper alignment of the inlet and outlet points; (b) filling the guard with water up to its capacity of 7 L; (c) allowing water to pass through the guard walls initially followed by controlled percolation through the coconut coir fibers at the lowermost point; (d) refilling the guard with water after 7 days to maintain a continuous watering cycle; and (e) ensuring uninterrupted water supply to the guard to preserve the percolation rate and optimize tree hydration.
