Blood serum is analyzed for high-density lipoprotein (HDL) level, brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) level, vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) level, patient's adherence to smoking and physical activity are assessed by interviewing the patient. Original formula is used to determine the regression coefficient (K). If K is more than 1.481, non-obstructive coronary atherosclerosis is diagnosed; if K is less than 1.481, obstructive coronary atherosclerosis is diagnosed. USE - Medicine.
