成果简介NOVELTY - Eco-friendly mosquito eradication method involves (a) utilizing biological agents and natural substances to reduce the ecological footprint associated with mosquito control, and preserve biodiversity and ecosystem health, and designed to specifically target mosquitoes while posing little to no harm to beneficial insects, aquatic life, birds, and other non-target organisms, which ensures the overall balance of the ecosystem, (b) prioritizing human safety by employing methods that are less toxic to humans by avoiding the use of harsh chemical insecticides that may have health implications for humans and communities, (c) promoting natural predators, disrupting mosquito breeding habitats, and employing eco-friendly larvicides to prevent the development of adult mosquitoes, and (d) emphasizing community engagement and CD participation to create a sense of shared responsibility for CD mosquito control, and ultimately fostering sustainable practices at the grassroots level. USE - Eco-friendly mosquito eradication method used for healthcare, i.e. used in public health and pest management, and for reducing mosquito-home illnesses, champion environmental sustainability, and provide communities with a safe and effective mosquito control solution. ADVANTAGE - The method utilizes the pre-sporulation (preconidial) mycelial stage of entomopathogenic fungi and extracts of the precolonial mycelium as insect and arthropod attractants and/or pathogens, which are biodegradable and have a lower impact on non-target organisms and the environment and utilizes non-toxic formulations that pose minimal risk to humans, animals, and ecosystems, with reduced residual effects and lower persistence in the environment.
