USE - High-temperature resistant complex alloy used in aerospace applications. ADVANTAGE - The high-temperature resistant complex alloy is economical, safe and reliable metallic alloy for high temperature strength maintaining aerospace appliances. The alloy has high yield strength extending to a range of 600-680 MPa. The alloy is free of chromium/any rare earth element. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - High-temperature resistant complex alloy comprises selective nickel (Ni)-iron (Fe)-cobalt (Co)-vanadium (V)-aluminum (Al)-silicon (Si)- molybdenum (Mo) (Ni-CA) alloy which is free of chromium (Cr)/rare earth elements, and of formula NiaFebCocVdAleSifMog(I), where a:b:c:d:e:f:g is equal to 44.7: 23: 7.5: 7: 6.4: 6.4: 5. The complex alloy have high temperature even greater than 600℃ upto 850℃ stable yield strength extending to a range of 600-680 MPa. An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for manufacturing high-temperature resistant complex alloy, which involves providing the raw materials of select alloy sources of Ni, Fe, Co, V, Al, Si, and Mo in a water-cooled copper based crucible/melter vessel maintained at a pressure of the order of 10-4-10-5 mbar and purging with inert gas before subjecting to melting, subjecting the select alloy sources to melting under inert conditions in crucible/melter vessel to generate ingot and subjecting to repeat melting for attaining homogeneity throughout and finally producing homogeneous ingots under closed conditions by avoiding open environment conditions, finally taking out ingot from said water cooled melter vessel and subjecting to water quenching at room temperature. |
