| 成果简介 | NOVELTY - The method involves centrifuging cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) sample in a collection tube for separating components of denser elements at a lower region within the collection tube and less dense elements at an upper region within the collection tube. Slide is prepared with less dense elements by drop-casting a pre-determined amount of CSF sample on the slide. Slide is analyzed using the FTIR Micro spectroscope to obtain spectral signatures of functional groups associated with the CSF sample by scanning the slide. Chemical imaging data is recorded. Infected bacterial meningitis CSF sample is detected by evaluating the spectral signatures obtained from the FTIR Micro spectroscope. USE - Method for realizing Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) micro spectroscopy based rapid detection of bacterial meningitis from CSF. ADVANTAGE - The method enables obtaining FTIR Micro spectroscopy based rapid detection of bacterial meningitis from CSF and requiring less sample preparation.
