| 成果简介 | NOVELTY - The method involves mapping a Physically Unclonable Function (PUF) circuit on the Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) platform to generate a unique, device-specific signature corresponding to the particular FPGA chip on which it has been mapped. A Secure Hash Algorithm (SHA) hardware engine is involved for reading of an executable program binary and computing SHA digest. A combination of the SHA digest and the PUF signature is appended to the program binary resulting a binary file. The binary file is stored in a Block Random Access Memory (BRAM) on the FPGA. The contents are retrieved in the binary file in blocks and routed to the SHA engine for processing to compute of a resultant digest. The resultant digest is compared with the binary file or units stored in the BRAM to authenticate the program binary in an authenticator for enabling or disabling execution of the program binary based on the authenticator result. USE - Method for run-time program binary authentication for an FPGA based computing platform to ensure secure binding of the program binary exclusively to a specific FPGA platform. ADVANTAGE - The method enhances the reliability by rectifying a substantial portion of BPUF responses by integrating a Python-based error correction code into our scheme. This not only underscores the dependability of the PUF but also validates the reliability of the program binary authentication scheme. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for the system comprising a Physically Unclonable Function (PUF) circuit implemented on the FPGA for generating a device-specific signature.
