成果简介NOVELTY - Invention relates to electrochemical industry and can be used in production of electrodes with catalytic coating for alkaline water electrolyzers by thermal decomposition of mixed powder of nickel and cobalt formates with subsequent electroplating. Result is achieved by reducing the oxygen release overvoltage on the electrodeposited submicron Ni-Co catalyst. In the method of making a catalytic coating of an anode for an alkaline water electrolyser, in which thermal decomposition of a mixed nickel-cobalt formate is carried out, and then the obtained Ni-Co metal powder is electrodeposited on the surface of the electrode, the mixed nickel-cobalt formate is obtained by direct reaction of nickel and cobalt chlorides with sodium formate, which is then subjected to thermal decomposition in a medium of a polyatomic alcohol of 1,4-butanediol with constant blowing with an inert gas CO2 at temperature of 210 °C for 10 hours, electrodeposition of the obtained submicron powder of Ni-Co is carried out in a single step with an uncorrected composition of the electrolyte with current density of 10-12.3 mA/cm2 for 3 hours and an operating temperature of electrolyte of 60 °C.
