成果简介	NOVELTY - The cell (100) has a an electrode assembly (200) provided with an anode. A cathode and a separator are inserted together to form a jelly roll structure that is provided with a first surface and a second surface. The first surface of the jelly roll structure is provided with an inner portion. An outer portion is concentrically arranged outwards of the inner portion. A current collector disk (102) is adapted to be received onto the inner portion of the first surface of the jelly roll structure. The outer portion is arranged external to the current collector disk and adapted to be connected with the outer periphery of the current collector disk. USE - Secondary cylindrical battery cell. ADVANTAGE - The cell has reduced time required for wetting the electrode assembly with the electrolyte, thus reducing the manufacturing time. Better electrolyte infiltration is achieved due to increased flow paths available due to absence of tabs near the core of electrode assembly, so that improved efficiency in connecting the current collector disk with the tabs is achieved by facilitating welding the current collectors with tabs from sides. The wastage at manufacturing stage is reduced by eliminating damaging of electrodes and separator during welding, thus increasing throughput of the manufacturing process. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for a method for assembling a secondary cylindrical battery cell.
