成果简介NOVELTY - Host protein biomarker, is new where the biomarker is uromodulin. USE - Host protein biomarker for diagnosis and prediction of pediatric pulmonary tuberculosis using urine samples. ADVANTAGE - The host protein biomarker eliminates invasive procedures, reduce sample collection needs as well as eliminate the need for specialized instruments, reduces the overall cost required for pediatric tuberculosis detection, minimizes the risks of misprediction, prevent unnecessary additional test and associated expenses, is non-invasive, ensures comfort for pediatric patients during sample collection, enhance accuracy, reducing misdiagnosis risks by specific cut-offs, a cost-effective, non-invasive, precise and rapid in tuberculosis prediction, thus offers significant economic advancement as well, extremely effective, easy to carry, and has low adverse effects will be appealing to medical professionals, provides same-day results, in contrast to the current gold standard culture-based test, which requires up to 42 days to yield results, has higher sensitivity, specificity and accuracy of 93.26 %, 89.69 % and 91.41% respectively in tuberculosis determination.
