成果简介NOVELTY - The device (100) has a housing (102) defining a chamber (104) to receive a maize cob. A rotatable lid (106) is detachably secured to the chamber and provided with a primary drive element. A threshing unit (120) is operatively arranged within the chamber. A plunger moves a primary telescoping element to contact a bottom end of the maize cob. A flexible wiping element is securely affixed to the primary telescoping element. A secondary drive element comprises a radial protrusion configured to engage the bottom end of the maize cob when the rotatable lid is attached to the chamber. USE - Handheld maize threshing device for separating kernels from maize cobs of various shape. ADVANTAGE - The device is user-friendly, compact, light in weight, versatile, adaptable, simple to operate and comfortable to hold, and minimizes manual effort required for operation, hand fatigue and strain for users with limited grip strength and cleaning and maintenance cost. The device eliminates risk of injury from sharp blades or serrated edges, and can accommodate natural variation maize and utilize a deformable wire kernel extractor, thus ensuring efficient, effortless and complete extraction of kernel from th maize cobs with minimal wastage. The device is provided with a combined cap assembly that facilitates simultaneous rotation of the maize cob and control of threshing wire during threshing process. The device enhances effectiveness of kernel removal by enabling precise alignment of the threshing wire with the base of the kernels.
