成果简介	NOVELTY - The handheld maize threshing device (100) has a threshing unit operably affixed within a casing (102) and for holding a maize cob and performing threshing operation to extract kernels from the maize cob. The threshing unit comprises a frame that is provided with a stud, where the stud is rigidly affixed within the casing to guide a driving unit for clamping the maize cob. A driven support is rotatably mounted on the frame through a bearing. An expansion spring is flexibly connected to the frame through a clamp. A threshing wire is flexibly connected to the frame through a hook. A knob (146) is rotatably connected to a spline shaft. A lid (152) is pivotally connected to the threshing unit to enclose the threshing unit during the threshing operation. A collecting chamber (154) is removably affixed to the threshing unit to collect the extracted kernels of the maize cob. USE - Handheld maize threshing device for securing maize cobs of varied length. ADVANTAGE - The lid serves as an enclosure to prevent the kernels from popping out. The device can efficiently extract the kernels from the maize cobs of varied size and length and reduce human effort during maize threshing operation. The device reduces the need for manual handling of sharp components so as to reduce risk of injury to users. The device reduces the need for applying manual pressure to extract the kernels from the maize cob. The device ensures precise alignment and positioning of the components and eliminates size constraint by enabling a threshing wire to be flexible for matching a specific profile of the varied length maize cob. The device can accommodate the maize cobs of varying length due to an adjustable driving unit.
