The system filters and stores harvested rainwater in the tanks or cisterns for ensuring a sustainable water source during dry periods and promoting water conservation. The growth medium provides adequate support and nutrients for the vegetation while allowing efficient water drainage. USE - Integrated green roof system. ADVANTAGE - The system has rainwater harvesting capabilities, so as to reduce urban heat island effects by providing natural insulation and cooling through vegetation and harvested rainwater. The system minimizes storm water runoff and mitigates urban flooding risks by capturing and storing rainwater from rooftops for non-potable uses, thus alleviating strain on municipal drainage systems. The system promotes biodiversity through creation of green spaces atop buildings, enhances urban ecosystems and supports habitat of flora and fauna. The system improves air quality by filtering pollutants and particulate matter from atmosphere through vegetation for contributing to a healthier urban environment. The system reduces the demand for potable water through sustainable management of water resources, thus conserving valuable resources and supporting water conservation efforts in urban areas. The system utilizes harvested rainwater for irrigation, so that the green roof vegetation thrives without the need for additional watering, thus reducing the environmental footprint.
