The anodic chamber comprises red soil (lateritic soil) and organic material (jute pieces and potato slices). USE - Used as red soil based microbial fuel cell. ADVANTAGE - The red soil based microbial fuel cell: can study the effect of time on electricity generation for using microbial cell for electrodes made of graphite, copper and zinc; is operable to generate electricity; is operable for in situ soil or water remediation in marine or freshwater environments; and is self-contained and/or self-powered.
