成果简介NOVELTY - Red soil based microbial fuel cell and its preparation method comprises cathode compartment (1) with cathode (8), anode compartment (2) with anode (7), proton exchange membrane (3), salt bridge made up of agar solution, salt solution, red soil (lateritic soil), organic material (jute pieces and potato slices), anode in soil compartment, and cathode (copper, zinc and graphite). The anodic chamber comprises red soil (lateritic soil) and organic material (jute pieces and potato slices). USE - Used as red soil based microbial fuel cell. ADVANTAGE - The red soil based microbial fuel cell: can study the effect of time on electricity generation for using microbial cell for electrodes made of graphite, copper and zinc; is operable to generate electricity; is operable for in situ soil or water remediation in marine or freshwater environments; and is self-contained and/or self-powered.
