成果简介	NOVELTY - Removing hazardous organic dye/s from their aqueous solution by hen feather involves washing the hen feather/s in a detergent solution, rinsing with distilled water, drying the washed hen feathers in an oven, cutting the dried hen feathers into small pieces, soaking the hen feathers overnight in hydrogen peroxide, removing adhering impurities, drying the soaked hen feathers, treating the dye with hen feather in a flask at pH ranging from 1-3, where hen feather is present in an amount of 0.01-0.15 g, keeping the flask containing mixture in a water bath, maintaining the desired temperature of 303, 313, 323 K, mixing on a mechanical shaker at 150 rpm for time interval ranging from 75-135 minutes, after shaking, stopping and filtering the solution, measuring the absorbance of the filtrate at a wavelength on an ultraviolet-visible spectrophotometer, and measuring the concentration of the dye and its percentage adsorption. USE - Method of removing hazardous organic dye/s from their aqueous solution by hen feather used as excellent adsorbent to eradicate organic dyes from the wastewater. ADVANTAGE - The method is environmentally friendly, safe, economic, versatile and is employed of societal benefit.
