| 成果简介 | NOVELTY - Single-step production of biodiesel from blended non-edible oil via shockwave power reactor (SPR) comprises raw Karanja oil (RKO) and raw castor oil (RCO) and with magnetic heterogeneous catalyst zinc doped strontium/ferrous oxide (Zn0.5Sr0.5/Fe3O4) USE - Single-step production of biodiesel from blended non-edible oil via shockwave power reactor. ADVANTAGE - Bifunctional catalysts accelerate the transesterification reaction, leading to faster conversion of triglycerides into biodiesel (FAMEs). Less time and resources are needed for purification processes such as washing, drying, etc. The SPR generates controlled shockwaves that promote thorough mixing and mass transfer. This enhances the contact between reactants and catalysts, leading to faster and more complete transesterification reactions than mechanical stirrer methods. Energy analysis indicates that the SPR consumes significantly less energy per unit mass than the ultrasound technique. This translates to cost savings and reduced environmental impact, making the process more sustainable. The intense shockwave in the SPR break down larger molecules and improve homogeneity in the reaction mixture. This leads to consistent product quality, minimizing variations, and increasing the biodiesel yield. The efficient mixing and enhanced mass transfer in the SPR reduce the time required for the transesterification process. This shorter reaction time increases overall process productivity and throughput. Blending Karanja oil and castor oil result in varying viscosities. The SPR's ability to handle high-viscosity materials effectively ensures uniform mixing and reaction even in challenging conditions, providing a versatile solution for different oil blends. The combination of acidic and basic functionalities enhances catalytic activity, enabling simultaneous reactions on the same catalyst surface. Additionally, its magnetic recyclability allows for easy separation, efficient catalyst recovery, and reuse, thereby reducing costs and simplifying the production process. This method is economically viable and scale up for industries. |
