ADVANTAGE - The method enables to prepare iron oxide-impregnated Geopolymeric blocks with enhanced visible light absorption capabilities. The preparation of iron oxide-impregnated homogeneous geopolymeric blocks capable of absorbing visible light. The additional phase of ferric oxide (Fe2O3) not identified in the X-ray diffraction (XRD) or Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). Peak shifts observed in FTIR and XRD, confirming the homogeneous mixing of iron oxide in the geopolymer matrix. The prepared iron oxide-modified geopolymer exhibits a color change and higher visible light absorption and demonstrates the efficacy of the iron oxide modified geopolymer in adsorbing methylene blue.
