成果简介NOVELTY - The conversion unit has four capacitors including buffer capacitor (Ca) and a rear-end capacitor (Cb) respectively adaptable to buck and boost modes of operation, a first inductor (La) and a second inductor (Lb) facilitating smooth charging and discharging of capacitors to minimize inrush current and maximum of a first power switch (S1), a second power switch (S2), a third power switch (S3) and a fourth power switch (S4), operating complementarily under gate logic control by ensuring bidirectional power flow. A converter topology enables voltage conversion between low-side and high-side voltage levels in a buck mode and a boost mode. USE - Quadratic gain bidirectional direct current (DC)-DC power conversion unit for an electric vehicle (EV) charging system. ADVANTAGE - The quadratic boost converter (QBC)-RICV employs minimum number of switches operating in synchronous rectification to enhance efficiency and achieve high voltage conversion ratios. The converter reduces voltage stress on the rear-end capacitor of the traditional QBC by employing a reduced size input filter capacitor.
