成果简介NOVELTY - Matrix membrane comprises poly ether-block-amide (Pebax-1657) as selective polymer matrix, amine-functionalized metal organic framework (UiO-66-NH2) as filler, trihexyl tetradecyl phosphonium bis(trifluoromethyl -sulfonyl)amide [THTDP][NTf2] as phosphonium-based ionic liquid and polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) as membrane. The top selective layer of phosphonium-based ionic liquid and amine-functionalized metal organic framework dispersed in Pebax-1657 polymer matrix is supported by the bottom layer of membranes (PVDF) are reported for gas separation. USE - Matrix membrane for enhanced carbon dioxide separation. ADVANTAGE - The membrane synthesis process is simple, energy efficient and optimized for reactant usage (less reactant requirement). The membrane materials have green solvent, covering the green chemistry for material safety decomposition. The membrane shows the highest selectivity of CO2/methane up to 25.42. The amine-functionalized metal organic framework concentration increases in membranes, their crystallinity decreases, leading to higher permeability of membranes with higher Ui0-66-NH2 concentration.
