| 成果简介 | NOVELTY - Use of coconut fiber (CF) as zero-cost bio-adsorbent is claimed for sustainable dye reclamation, involves performing chronological steps of (a) adding CF (25 mg/ml) to 50 ml of the dye solution (50 ppm) in a beaker for the adsorption studies, (b) sonicating the solutions for 5 minutes in an ultrasonicator for the proper dispersion of adsorbents, (c) keeping for stirring on a rotary shaker for 60 minutes at 170 revolutions per minute (rpm), (d) centrifuging the solution, and analyzing the supernatant of the solution using ultravisible (UV)-Vis spectrometer for monitoring the concentrations of dye (λmax=603 nanometer (nm)) in the treated water. USE - Coconut fiber used as zero-cost bio-adsorbent for sustainable dye reclamation (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The coconut fiber encompasses three phases: (a) treating wastewater with CF, (b) reclaiming dyes from the spent adsorbent, and (c) scaling up the research for largescale water treatment, and has achieved almost 97% removal of toxic dye using zero-cost adsorbent with a recovery of more than 10 Liters of clean water. |
