成果简介NOVELTY - The knife has a mounting part (1) on a side with holes for fastening to a rotor of a mower's cutting apparatus, where another side a working part (2) includes cutting edges with no more than 0.2 millimeter (mm) thick on both sides. A layer of sormite with a thickness of 0.4-0.5 mm and a width of 8-15 mm is applied to a front surface of the working part along cutting edges using a surfacing method, where the minimum and maximum width of the deposited sormite layer is determined by a permissible wear of the working part of the knife of various sizes while maintaining required performance properties. A layer of titanium carbide (TiC) is applied to the front surface of the working part of the knife. USE - Plate knife for cutting devices of rotary mowers when harvesting forage. ADVANTAGE - The knife has increased durability by increasing the hardness of the cutting edges and ensuring self-sharpening effect, so as to reduce the consumption of the knive when harvesting the forage. The knife avoids need for preliminary preparation of the knife surface for applying a wear-resistant coating by grinding the front surface of the working part of the knife.
