成果简介NOVELTY - The system (100) has a set of switches (102) to manage flow of current within the system with a maximum grid voltage (Vg). A set of diodes (104) is connected to the switches, and capacitors (106) are connected to the switches and the diode. The capacitors are self-voltage balanced with a voltage rating half of the maximum grid voltage, where the system eliminates ground-leakage current by connecting a source negative rail (108) and grid neutral terminals (110) to ground to yield zero common-mode voltage. USE - System for eliminating ground-leakage current in single-phase photovoltaic (PV) invertors. ADVANTAGE - The system eliminates ground-leakage current in solar PV applications, and reduces the reliance on higher-voltage-rated capacitors, thus lowering overall cost and volume of the inverter. The system is provided with a topology capable of generating a five-level output alternating current (AC) voltage using lower voltage-rated capacitors. The system is provided with a simplified control complexity by incorporating self-voltage balanced capacitors into the inverter design.
