成果简介NOVELTY - Coolant fluid comprises aluminum oxide (Al2O3) nanoparticles; and reduced graphene oxide (rGO). The Al2O3nanoparticles are modified using oleic acid. The rGO is synthesized from waste tyres using a modified Hummer's method. USE - Coolant fluid for radiators. ADVANTAGE - The coolant fluid has enhanced thermal conductivity up to 50% compared to conventional coolant fluids, improved dispersibility and stability for a period of up to eight weeks without the use of chemical surfactants, exhibits an increase in thermal conductivity of up to 50% compared to conventional coolant fluids. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a method for synthesizing Al2O3/graphene oxide nanocomposite coolant fluid for radiators, which involves synthesizing Al2O3nanoparticles via spray pyrolysis; modifying the Al2O3nanoparticles with oleic acid as surface modifier; synthesizing rGO from waste tyres using a modified Hummer's method; combining the Al2O3nanoparticles and the rGO to form a nanocomposite; and dispersing the resulting nanocomposite in a base fluid to form a stable nanofluid.
